The Rubbish Dump
In Ukraine the Roma-population is living in very difficult circumstances. Some of them live on the rubbish dump. Many families in Roma-camps and others in a town or village cannot live among the local population. It is very difficult for Roma families to live among the local population, as there are many prejudices towards them.
The prejudices towards Roma make it nearly impossible for them to find work. As a result it is very difficult to break out of the circle of poverty.
Ruzslan Jankovski, has dedicated himself to help his own people in the Roma-camp in Munkacs (Mukachevo). Poor children from the Roma-camp in the city of Beregszász (Berehove) and a number of families at the rubbish dump in Beregszász also receive support from Child Sponsor Programme.
