BECOMING A SPONSOR
Child Sponsor Programme supports Eastern European children in very poor families:

• Families will receive food and clothes
• Children will be able to go to school
• Families do not need to go on the streets to beg
• Children will not be takent to a Children’s Home but can grow up at home

How does Child Sponsor Programme work:

• Local contact persons bring the sponsor’s monthly contribution to the poor families. They also encourage them from God’s Word and pray with them for their needs.
• A child is usually sponsored for eight years; after eight years another child will be proposed to the sponsor.
• Local contact persons help the families to look for possibilities of supporting themselves.
  
  Personal connection:
• You will receive information and a certificate with a picture of the child
• Each year you will receive an annual report and a photo.
• It is possible to correspond with your sponsor child.
• It is also possible to visit your sponsor child.

The housing of some of the sponsored families is terrible. They live in a mud hut or their ‘house’ looks as if it could collapse any time. Sometimes a family is forced to live on the street, because the owner of their house intends to sell it. In these situations a housing project of CSP can help.

When a sponsored family is in such a need, the contact person can apply for a house project. This might mean the purchase of a simple house or apartment for a family. Building an extra room, building a house or doing a renovation are also possible, depending on what is the best solution for a family, and the funds which are available.
